Located in beautiful, suburban Pike Creek, Delaware, Goldey-Beacom College is a private, co-ed institution with a rich history and high standards of educational excellence. Founded in 1886 and initially focused on equipping students for success in business, the College now offers programs in psychology, criminal justice, English, economics, and all areas of business. As an MSCHE and ACBSP accredited institution, Goldey-Beacom also offers master’s degrees in psychology and business and attracts a diverse student body from 22 states and over 60 nations.
Required Qualifications:
We seek an experienced and professional instructor with a record of effective teaching art appreciation at the college level. Applicant may have the opportunity to teach one face-to-face course meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15-1:30 PM EST. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fostering student engagement with the visual arts and must hold at least one of the following advanced degrees: an MA in art education, art, or art history;
an MFA in art; or a PhD in art history.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include delivering thoughtfully prepared lectures, facilitating classroom discussions, guiding students through hands-on projects in different media, and cultivating an appreciation for art across cultures and eras. We seek applicants who are committed to developing positive relationships that lead to tangible, learning-centered outcomes. We particularly welcome candidates whose training, skills, and experience illustrate a commitment to fostering diverse, inclusive, and equitable environments.
