An incumbent is responsible for implementing curricula, instructing assigned courses consistent with syllabi, evaluating student learning, and fostering student success.
Nature and ScopeAn incumbent in this class reports to the Dean of Instruction or Instructional Director, Department Chairperson, or Program Coordinator. They plan, organize, and instruct to promote successful student learning aligned with the college’s values and goals.
Principal Accountabilities- Knowledge of sound instructional techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of relevant subject matter in the discipline/department.
- Knowledge of computers and instructional methodology.
- Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of learning and instruction applied to face-to-face, hybrid, and distance learning.
- Knowledge of competency-based learning.
- Ability to use teaching strategies that promote learning for diverse styles.
- Ability to use assessment to enhance learning.
- Ability to understand and use instructional technology.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects diverse talents.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Four (4) years of relevant experience.
