Overview

We are seeking full-time teachers to join our dedicated team. All teachers at The Goddard School are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, fun, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess or be eligible for a Delaware First Certificate.

Teacher Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Possessing or working towards an Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Having a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred
• At least 1 year of child care experience preferred
• Completing or willingness to complete state-required training before starting
• Knowledge of childcare programming, safety, emergency first-aid, program management, and customer service
• Developing relationships and communicating effectively with children, parents, and staff
• Working independently within organizational policies
• Demonstrating motivation, good interpersonal and communication skills
• Being dependable, adaptable, and a team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attentive listening, and follow-up
• Addressing stressful situations professionally while multitasking
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., including infants for safety and program needs
• Meeting background check requirements

Qualifications

Includes a nurturing teaching style, team attitude, Early Childhood Certificate from Delaware, TECE 1 & 2 or CDA, and preferred degrees. Must attach a complete resume with salary requirements and preferred position.
