Position: Design & Product Development Intern at G2 Performance

Location: In‑Person in Wilmington, Delaware

Duration: For Summer and Fall Semesters

Hours: 20-25 hours per week, schedule negotiable

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail‑oriented Design & Product Development Intern to join our team. This role offers hands‑on experience in the design and production of highly creative and modern marching band uniforms, working alongside industry professionals to develop new product lines and refine existing designs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of new uniform styles, from concept to final production.
  • Research fabric choices, embellishments, and construction techniques. Interns will have access to a fabric library and sourcing materials for research.
  • Create technical sketches and digital mockups in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Support pattern development and sample testing to ensure quality and fit. Interns will assist in modifying existing patterns and creating new ones from scratch.
  • Collaborate with the production team and work with the sewing team inside our warehouse to develop a sample that matches the design.
  • Attend team meetings to discuss creative concepts and production timelines.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, Product Development, or a related field
    .
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software
    .
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern‑making and textiles.
  • Good color sense, knowledge of raw materials, knowledge of sewing technique.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a creative team.
