SUMMARY

This is a full-time, exempt, 10 month, student-facing, staff position with responsibilities during and after the school day, on weekends, and some evening commitments.

Loyola Academy students complete community service in many ways: through Ignatian Service Learning classes, on immersion service trips, and in the after-school service program, named the Arrupe Service Program after Fr. Pedro Arrupe, SJ. Through transformational encounters with those they accompany at the margins, Loyola Academy students come to be formed as leaders in service. Central to this work is Loyola Academy's mission of facilitating for its stakeholders experiences of "serving for and with others" as a means and outcome of the Ignatian call to Christian discipleship.

The Arrupe Service Program Coordinator will be a key collaborator on the ISLE team to facilitate and bring about the vision of the Office of Ignatian Service Learning and Engagement.

The coordinator is also expected to be available to drive students to service sites on a mutually agreed-upon schedule.
