Overview
District 39 is seeking a child-centered School Psychologist with a high degree of energy, initiative, and flexibility with well-developed interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Providing social-work/counseling services to individuals and groups of students
- Participating in team problem-solving, parent conferences, and IEP meetings
- Supporting building administration in investigation and response for incidents of unexpected behavior by any student
- Facilitating restorative practices and conversations to address conflicts
- Assisting schools in the coordination and facilitation of positive behavior intervention practices and supports
- Supporting student service staff members with guidance in planning behavior intervention plans and conducting Functional Behavior Analysis evaluations
- Supporting students and team members in crisis
- Collaborating with administration to facilitate and lead professional development for staff based on identified needs
- Monitoring implementation of behavior documentation and protocols
- Serving as a resource/liaison for school teams and families
Valid IL educator licensure with proper endorsement (s). A degree in School Psychology is required.
Working Conditions$60,575.33 minimum annually (184 days) with benefits. Psychologist work year is 192 days; actual compensation based on education and experience.

Benefits for this position include access to health insurance, dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, and life insurance. Some tuition reimbursement is available for graduate-level courses in the field of education. Tier 2 TRS employees may be eligible for additional retirement savings benefits. All applicable benefits can be found in the current WEA contractual bargaining agreement.
