About the Internship ProgramThe Asplundh Summer Internship Program is designed to accelerate your growth and open doors to future career opportunities in the utility and vegetation management industry. Over 11 weeks, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, personalized mentorship, and exposure to industry best practice while contributing to projects that make a real impact.
You’ll collaborate with supportive managers and peers, participate in professional development sessions, and build connections that last well beyond the summer.
Role OverviewAs a Geospatial Analyst Intern, you will leverage cutting‑edge GIS tools to acquire, manage, and analyze spatial data that drives informed decision‑making across the organization. You will create high‑quality cartographic maps, develop interactive dashboards, and deliver compelling data visualizations for strategic projects. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, apply geospatial intelligence to solve operational challenges, and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and sustainability.

- Hands‑on experience with Esri tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Currently enrolled in a program related to Geospatial/GIS, Computer Science, or Geography.
- Familiarity with spatial data formats and geospatial analysis techniques.
