Ryan won multiple Australian national singles and doubles titles as a junior and was a key member of Australian team that won the 16/U world junior championships held in Japan. By the age of 18, he had achieved rankings of World No. 1 in U/18 Doubles, World No. 16 in U/18 Singles, 271 in ATP Doubles and 424 in ATP Singles and competed in the Australian Open Mens Singles and Doubles main draw.
Ryan retired early from the game at age 19 due to repetitive injuries and has since focused on developing a career as a tennis professional.

Ryan is responsible for the overall management and development of Voyager Tennis and is passionate about helping tennis thrive at all levels from grass roots right the way through to the professional level.

The CompanyVoyager is a multi-award-winning tennis academy and we believe in tennis as a powerful, life-enhancing voyage that helps individuals become the best they can be.
Our programmes start with children aged 3–5 years and follow a well-established pathway through to students achieving U.S. college tennis scholarships and competing on the professional circuit.
We operate from 15 tennis facilities in Sydney, one facility in Melbourne, one facility in Northern NSW and two venues in Singapore. We coach around 4,000 players each week of all ages and abilities, including more than 200 nationally ranked players.
Tennis professionals have the opportunity to progress their careers as we provide a pathway from Tennis Coach to High Performance Coach, Assistant Head Tennis Professional, Head Tennis Professional and management roles.
The Position – Role & ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a full-time Senior Tennis Coach who will build their coaching hours to 38+ per week and work with a wide range of ages and abilities through programmes including:
- Hot Shots – Coach tennis fundamentals and skills to kids aged 3–12 years across blue, red, orange and green ball levels.
- Private Lessons – Deliver one-to-one coaching focused on technical and tactical improvement.
- Group Lessons – Coach group sessions aimed at improving technical and tactical tennis skills.
- Development Squads – Lead developing players with a focus on technical and tactical improvement and tournament preparation.
- High Performance Squads – Coach advanced athletes across technical, tactical, physical and psychological areas to prepare them for elite tournaments.
- School Programmes – Coach school-aged players in fundamental tennis skills and grow participation.
- Holiday Camps – Coach groups of kids during school holidays, reinforcing fundamental and advanced skills.
- Weekly Competitions – Prepare players for weekly competitions and competitive events.
- Tournaments – Assist in the delivery of club tournaments, providing competitive opportunities for players.
Hours will be predominantly Monday to Friday, with one full day required each weekend (either Saturday or Sunday).
Remuneration: $76,515 + superannuation per year
