ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct PCR tests, analyze results, and generate technical reports in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Oversee and manage all laboratory staff, logistical operations, and the implementation of new policies and procedures
- Contribute to the development and execution of departmental goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems
- Monitor and manage sample throughput to ensure alignment with available lab capacity
- Work closely with medical professionals to guarantee delivery of high-quality patient care and services
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards in all aspects of work
- Consistently meet or exceed established quality targets and efficiency benchmarks
- Participate in routine laboratory functions as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field
- At least one (1) year of hands-on experience with real-time PCR and operating instruments in a high-complexity laboratory setting
- Proven ability to independently manage projects and adapt to change, with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transitions and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Professional business attitude, appearance and demeanor
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Motivated, organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a busy office environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with members of the healthcare team
- Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- This is a full-time position
- Required to work eight (8) hour shifts on Monday – Friday
