Billing Clerk

Five Star Trucking is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Willoughby, OH. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations by auditing shipping documents, resolving discrepancies, and managing invoicing processes. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle financial transactions with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit and review incoming shipping documents to ensure completeness for invoicing.
• Resolve discrepancies or missing paperwork with motor carriers.
• Review and audit incoming payables invoices to ensure alignment with TMS quotes.
• Review customer quotes for accurate rates and generate timely invoices.
• Ensure compliance with customer invoicing requirements and SOPs.
• Conduct follow-ups to ensure timely payment of customer invoices.
• Process customer payments and apply funds accurately to loads.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of Invoice-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash life cycles.
• Experience with two and three-way matching.
• Knowledge of General Ledgers and understanding of debits and credits.
• Reconciliation experience across various accounting transactions.
• Strong conflict resolution skills for managing "past due" calls.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• High level of attention to detail and desire for data integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Salesforce.
• Advanced Excel skills.
