Maintenance Technician

Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour (DOE) Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Monday–Friday (Flexible) + On-Call Rotation

Herzog Property Management is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in Willmar, MN. This position is responsible for maintaining the physical condition, safety, and appearance of residential properties while delivering excellent customer service to residents.

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple trades
• Complete apartment repairs and unit turns (“make-ready”)
• Minor plumbing (fixture replacement, drain snaking, leak repair)
• Basic electrical work (fixtures, outlets, switches, troubleshooting)
• Interior painting as needed
• Groundskeeping, lawn care, and snow removal
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and emergency calls
• Inspect units and property conditions regularly
• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors
• Maintain maintenance inventory and cost controls
• Travel to nearby properties as needed
• Maintain accurate logs, timesheets, receipts, and mileage
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

• Maintenance, facilities, or repair experience preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Work independently
• Ability to handle confidential information
  
  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
