Overview
Find your purpose as the Events Manager for the Centra Care Foundation. The Events Manager will lead the Foundation in hosting fundraising and stewardship events that enhance our organization's image, raise needed funds for our community and provide a high-quality experience for our guests and donors. The incumbent will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events' calendar, managing and supporting a cadre of volunteers and committees, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, managing event marketing, monitoring time frames and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives.
Creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our Foundation in amplifying visibility and funds, enhancing donor relations, and improving our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate our mission and brand personality.
This position also manages our third party fundraising events, the Charitable Partners Program; marketing this program to potential partners, managing relationships and expectations with third party fundraisers and expanding this program to our new Southwest Region. This role will also be responsible for successfully managing event volunteer committees and volunteers.
Schedule- Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks

- Starting pay begins at $54,546.69 per year and increases with experience
- Salary range: $54,456.69-$81,776.22 per year
- Salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

- Associate Degree in mass communications, marketing or related field required;
Bachelor s degree preferred. - 2 years at a minimum of experience in successful event promotions/coordination, volunteer and financial management is required.
- Experience with the healthcare and philanthropy field preferred.
- Raisers Edge experience preferred.
- Solid computer skills and ability to navigate and use a variety of software is required.
- Critical and creative thinking skills and excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- A driving record in good standing and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage required.
- Highly organized and able to multi-task within projects and across projects.
- Solid project management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and supervisory experience with volunteers or employees.
- Manage database for events, including registration ticketing and online tools.
- Implement a consistent participant satisfaction survey tool for each event.
- Manage a database for the tracking of these events.
- Provide guidance to Regional Development Officers on the establishment and conduct of their market specific benefactor recognition programs.
- Establish preferred recognitions vendors and serve as primary contact.
- Manage expenses within approved amounts.
- Maintains meticulous records of activities and produces reports.
- Uses organizational benchmarks and historic data to set and track fundraising goals each year.
- Responsible for reconciliation of event fundraising revenue and expense with accounting department and database management.
- Lead the annual creation and production of the Foundation s marquee event, the Holly Ball, for 1,200+ guests and raising nearly $1M annually. This position works closely with the volunteer Holly Ball Chair and Co-Chairs and recruits and manages volunteer committees, secures venues, negotiates quotes and agreements with vendors, monitors time frames and budgets to reach annual fundraising goals.
- Lead all Foundation stewardship events, including the annual LaGratitude events in the Central Region (St. Cloud) and in the Southwest Region for 300-600 guests, which include venue selection, entertainment, photography, awards coordination, decoration, video production, invitations, scripting and other elements as necessary. Engage the Foundation Board of Directors in key messaging and roles for the events.
- Provide support to the Southwest Regional Fall Gala, an event for 650+ guests which raises nearly $300,000 annually. Working with the SW Regional Development Officer, provides oversight and overall management of the event to ensure a coordinated events strategy.
- Successfully manage the Charitable Partners Program (third-party fundraising events), generating revenue of nearly $400,000 annually. Market this program to potential partners, managing relationships and expectation with third party fundraisers and expanding this program in the Southwest Region. Develop, communicate and maintain third party event fundraising guidelines. Set and achieve annual goals for growth for this program.
