Nursing Service Tech | Float Pool

Find your purpose by becoming a Nursing Service Tech in the Float Pool at Rice Memorial Hospital!

• Perform routine treatment procedures as directed.
• Assists Staff Nurse in complicated treatment procedures.
• Maintain traction supplies including traction cart every shift.
• Complete all equipment set up as directed.
• Report any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.
• Communicate any patient complaints of pain to patient's nurse, charge nurse or unit coordinator.
• Assist in and, as necessary, accompany patient in the admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Provide and/or assists with personal care as necessary (i.e. baths, dressing of patient, personal hygiene, etc.)
• Assist with patient care, such as positioning patient, lifting and turning patient with proper body mechanics, applying/utilizing special equipment as necessary and ambulating the patient as directed.
• Under supervision, perform general care activities for patients in isolation.

• 64 hours every 2 weeks
• Rotating day, evening and night shifts (all shifts)
• Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
• Rotating holidays

• Starting pay begins at $19.08 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range: $19.08 to $25.30 per hour

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred.
• Previous orderly or nurse aide experience preferred.
