Commercial Sr. HVAC Service Technician – Burlington, VTIn this role, you will leverage your HVAC skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and service a variety of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on-site work.
- Serve as the direct customer contact, responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location.
- Use cutting‑edge software and technology, along with hand‑tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays.
- Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC, with technical school or formal training preferred.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand‑held computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
- Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/ Careless Driving, or multiple infractions in the past 3 years.
- EPA Certification.
- Safely operate a vehicle with seat belt; wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness, and safety boots.
- Twist trunk of body 90° each direction, squat to touch floor, reach hands over head, and stand on concrete for extended periods.
- Handle physical tasks—lift up to 10 lb., frequently 40 lb., occasionally >40 lb.; use ladder with 375 lb. limit while carrying up to 50 lb. of equipment;
- Maneuver confined spaces (30″ vertical × 45″ horizontal) and access rooftops with extensions or fixed ladders up to 15–20′, occasionally up to 50′.
- Work under variable weather, mechanical parts, heights, risk of electrical shock, noise, and other environmental conditions based on location.
- Be available for on‑call rotation and overtime, including occasional overnight stays.
Base Pay Range: $45–55+ per hour (based on skills & experience)
