The Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity (GMHFH) ReStore is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our mission of helping local families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable home ownership.

The Warehouse Associate helps unload the truck when the drivers return from pick-ups, brings furniture and items out on the floor throughout the day, follows safe practices for handling donations, and assists in organizing merchandise and loading purchased goods.

• Loading the sales floor with merchandise throughout their shift.
• Unload donated items from Donors' vehicles as they are in the Donation Lane. Approve or deny donations based on if they are in good, sellable condition.
• Impart GMHFH’s mission on donors and provide proper documentation for their donations.
• Assist the truck drivers with unloading their donation pickups when they return to the store. Assist with getting items out on the sales floor directly from the truck.

• Attend community and GMHFH events and assist with set up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience handling heavy goods and loading goods for transport preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.

• Able to communicate well with staff and donors.
• Dependable and able to stick to a schedule.
• Excellent customer service skills to respond to any questions or concerns.
• Flexibility to switch to different tasks quickly.
• Able to focus on and complete loading of the truck for the entire shift.

The hourly rate for this part-time, in-person position is currently $16 hourly and the position includes a 20% discount to Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStores.
