- Provides technical advice and leadership assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of the NCATC’s core processes to include the utilization of experience and technology to compile, vet, analyze and disseminate leads in direct support of the NCATC mission.
- Assists in identifying, prioritizing and geo-targeting those who have committed egregious crimes against public safety such as sex offenders, gang members, human rights violators, those that have committed war crimes and those that pose a threat to the national security of the United States.
- Develops overall operational plans, objectives and strategies to utilize a combination of experience and technology to remove cases from the fugitive backlog as directed by the Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officers.
- Provides subject matter expertise and guidance relating to NCATC protocols and procedures.
- Provides oversight and technical guidance to subordinates as they are accurately identifying the immigration status of targeted individuals, investigating criminal charges and convictions to interpret the criminality of the target, measuring the results against current DHS removability and targetability priorities, locating the criminal target with exhaustive research and analyses and determining the correct identity of the target.

This is a full-time permanent position. Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
- Accurately identifies the immigration status of targeted individuals and investigates criminal charges and convictions to interpret the criminality of the target;
- Researches and obtains supportable documentation from various law enforcement entities;
- Identifies appropriate statistical and analytical approaches and formulates strategies for data retrieval and analysis, trends, relationships, and possible systemic vulnerabilities;
- Prepares complete and comprehensive written reports and/or makes recommendations for corrective actions;
- Provides training and guidance to other Criminal Targeting Specialists in the operation, policy, and procedures of the National Criminal Analysis and Targeting Center (NCATC).
