Commercial Loan Associate

East Rise Credit Union

Base pay range: $28.91/hr - $32.12/hr

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of Loan Approval Reports and all supporting corporate and collateral documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and federal lending guidelines.
  • Prepare precise and compliant loan documentation using Laser Pro for both complex and standard commercial loan closings, ensuring alignment with the credit standards of East Rise Credit Union.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the loan closing process in collaboration with Commercial Loan Officers, communicating directly with members, attorneys, and accountants to collect required entity documentation, financials, and insurance information.
  • Assemble and submit complete loan files to OnBase and the File Library, conduct post-funding reviews, and cross‑check core systems to verify correct loan booking.
  • Maintain and monitor outstanding tickler items, providing document checklists to Commercial Loan Officers, tracking documentation exceptions, and assisting in collecting outstanding items.
  • Facilitate the ordering of appraisals through the Appraisal Desk using internal systems and technologies, ensuring timely processing and alignment with underwriting and closing timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with all company policies, applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • A college degree.
  • Knowledge of BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multiple‑priority management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with limited supervision.
  • Effective customer service and discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
Requirements & Physical Demands
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Background, credit, criminal, bondability, and reference checks required.
  • May be required to travel to other branches or locations, depending on the position.
  • Physical demands include frequent use of hands, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, and work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area.
