Diesel Technician

Overview

Diesel Mechanic/Technician responsibilities include repairing and maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.

• Repair and maintain diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and equipment.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and perform necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding repairs.
• Perform quality control to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Keep paperwork updated and submit upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.

• Valid driver's license (CDL holders may receive bonus compensation).
• Good work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
• Excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG
  17 product.
• Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, and International is a plus.
• Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: hydraulics, brakes and suspension, manual transmissions, drive train, and automatic transmissions.
• Must be physically able to lift and work without restrictions.
• Technical degree or certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have own set of general tools.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
