Responsibilities- Meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a great customer experience
- Be knowledgeable to answer questions about location, price, and use of merchandise
- Follow instructions for customer requests while maintaining safety requirements
- Analyze reports and make decisions about inventory purchasing, merchandise arrangement, and sales trends to meet Scheels standards
- Stock shelves, tables, and counters; set up advertising, signs, and merchandise to promote sales
- Communicate professionally with vendors and outside sales representatives
- Train associates on proper use and basic knowledge of merchandise
- Prepare for and facilitate required product knowledge and sales meetings
- Attend weekly sales and product knowledge training meetings
- Maintain professional appearance and contribute to a positive team atmosphere while following Scheels policies
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports
- Perform basic math and use measurements and percentages in daily work
- Present information effectively in one-on-one or small group settings
- Work the assigned schedule, including varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and explain benefits

High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months related experience or training, or equivalent combination
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work may require exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
