Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our retail environment, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service. The Steward will also assist in various operational tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of the store.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including sales floors, stock areas, and customer service areas.
• Assist with merchandising and stocking products to ensure shelves are well-presented and fully stocked.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product demonstrations.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers.
• Perform basic math calculations for inventory management and retail math tasks.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
