Shift Type:  Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (day) and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (night);
Days + Call, block scheduling (no self-scheduling); weekend requirement (every third weekend) and every other holiday
Hours per Week:  36
Candidate Pay Rate:  $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities   Perform continuous fetal monitoring and confidently read and interpret fetal strips
Administer and titrate medications and drips (pitocin, insulin, magnesium) per unit protocols
Provide labor and delivery nursing care and couplet postpartum care following AWHONN guidelines
Conduct neonatal assessment and provide initial neonatal care as needed
Accurately document patient care in MEDITECH and maintain quality metric compliance
Float within the hospital to Med Surg and ER when needed, adapting quickly to changing assignments
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, escalate concerns, and support safe, patient-centered care
Support unit flow, assist in C-section readiness on the single OR suite, and mentor unit staff when appropriate
Qualifications   Current RN license (eligible to submit) — Associate or Diploma accepted (BSN not required)
Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience, including labor & delivery experience
BLS required;
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
Comfortable titrating drips and managing pitocin, insulin, and magnesium infusions

Experience with MEDITECH, Traceview/PIP EFM and Philips telemetry systems preferred
Travel nursing experience preferred; must be able to float to Med Surg and ER as needed
Preferred certifications: ACLS, NRP, STABLE
Must comply with facility radius rule and provide required documentation up front (candidates may not have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with Common Spirit/CHI/Dignity facilities in the past 12 months)
Education   Active RN license (Associate or Diploma acceptable); BSN not required
BLS certification required;
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
Knowledge & Skills   Proficient in fetal monitoring and fetal strip interpretation
Strong critical thinking and ability to follow quality metrics
Medication/drip titration skills and safe infusion management
Neonatal assessment and immediate newborn care
Charting and documentation in MEDITECH
Comfort with Philips monitors and Traceview/PIP EFM system
Adaptability to float across units and work in a dynamic acute care setting
Clear communication and teamwork in high-acuity situations
