Position SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides quality care to patients and supports the clinical staff of Palms Medical Group (PMG).
Description of Primary Responsibilities- Provide necessary medical services to patients of Palms Medical Group within his/her scope of practice in accordance with stated policies, procedures and protocols of PMG.
- Maintain the Electronic Health Record with up-to-date documentation of services provided.
- Work up, obtain vital signs and assist provider with examination procedures as needed.
- Exhibit professionalism with patients and coworkers.
- Carry out nurse visits within his/her scope of practice.
- Perform basic laboratory functions within the protocols of a CNA as defined by PMG policy and per Florida state statutes and board of authority.
- Participate in training programs, educational sessions, etc. as directed by the Clinical Care Coordinator and/or the Clinical Nurse Educator.
- Maintain knowledge of inventory procedures and submit any order requests to the VP of Business Continuity & Client Relations and designated Clinical Care Coordinator.
- Restock examination rooms, lab and clinical supplies as needed.
- Maintain orderly and professional work areas.
- Maintain knowledge of Vaccines for Children processes.
- Read and adhere to the Clinical Policy Manual.
- Participate in QA, QI and other meetings and/or activities as directed by the VP of Practice Management.
- Assist the Executive VP of Patient Services with data collection as necessary.
- Assist with audits, administer and collect surveys, and follow up with red charts as directed by the Clinic Charge Nurse.
- Perform any other duty assigned by the Clinic Care Coordinator, VP of Practice Management or CEO within scope of practice to improve the efficiency of PMG

- In-house hemoglobin
- Lab centrifuge
- AED
- Autoclave
- Vital Sign Machine
- Nebulizer and accessories
- Blood Glucose
- INR
- In-house hemoglobin A1c
- Oxygen tanks and accessories
- Any other equipment listed on job competencies
Employees will comply with job competencies and skill checkoffs as part of the annual evaluation.
