The Operations Manager will take ownership of the Bakken operations and build a culture of relentless pursuit of exceptional customer service, while putting in place the processes and procedures to sustain growth. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit to work in an early-stage company as it deals with rapid expansion, and the technical and management skills to manage a team of our shop personnel in an industrial operations setting.

RESPONSBILITIES
  • Lead operations in field location including process development and management of warehousing, distribution, inventory, and refurbishment efforts
  • Prepare and maintain expense and labor budgets based on current operations including projections for growth
  • Communicate with the leadership team regarding budget planning, order demand, and inventory management, while maintaining alignment with company objectives
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Implement and monitor procedures to maximize plant efficiency while controlling the cost of production.
  • Exercise discretion and good judgment in supervising direct reports. These tasks include but are not limited to: interviewing, delegating responsibilities and tasks, performance evaluations, counseling, and disciplining
  • Partner with Sales team to ensure operations programs and performance are meeting customer needs and enabling market segment growth
  • Create a work environment that enables team members to succeed, learn, and enjoy their work. Provide ongoing development, coaching, and performance management to the team and ensure a high level of performance, individually and collectively.
  • Champions safety as an integral part of everyone’s job and holds self and employees accountable to the highest standard of safe conduct.
  • Develop strategies to assist OTS in meeting its critical goals and objectives in a manner that promotes efficiency and enhances profitable growth.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to policies or procedures that have a significant impact on operational effectiveness
  • Maintain financial oversight of operations, monitor trends, and provide routine variance reports and corrective action plans to the management team
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters
  • Other duties as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (may consider 5 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role with a proven track record in motivating and leading a high-performance leadership team within an industrial, construction, or oilfield services company
  • Prior experience that demonstrates strong ethics, effective time management, ability to multitask, adaptability, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Prior experience that required excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ERP System experience; preferred Net Suite
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various computer systems necessary for job execution
  • Good negotiation and problem-resolution skills
  • Understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, managing P&Ls, and forecasting
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration within and between department(s)
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Physical Demands: This job is a mostly sedentary role; however, moderate physical activity is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach, carry, pull, lift, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to have specific vision abilities which include close and distant vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees are also required to talk and listen.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office/field/shop environment. The noise level is moderate and in a well-lit area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
