The Opportunity
CACI is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Agile expertise to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge IT) Agile Solution Factory team in support of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Williston, Vermont.
This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that protect the nation’s borders and enhance national security. As part of a passionate, high-performing Agile team, you will contribute to building innovative, reliable, and scalable software solutions for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

As a Business Analyst on the BEAGLE ASF team, you will:
- Act as a senior Business/Systems Analyst in an Agile/Scrum environment delivering custom software and database solutions.
- Understand real-world mission and business objectives and translate them into effective software requirements.
- Capture, analyze, and manage functional and non-functional requirements and user stories.
- Decompose high-level business and mission objectives into backlog items that can be delivered through short, iterative sprints.
- Partner with the Product Owner to review, refine, and prioritize the product backlog.
- Clearly communicate business needs to development teams using user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Serve as a proxy Product Owner when needed by providing guidance and clarification to developers.
- Work closely with the Scrum Master to establish sprint/release backlogs, resolve impediments, and define scope.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to ensure customer needs are met throughout the delivery cycle.
- Develop product roadmaps and support Integrated Release Planning.
- Review completed work to confirm requirements and scope have been met.
- Identify candidates for automated regression testing.
- Lead sprint demos and product demonstrations for stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, use cases, and technical requirements.
- Conduct backlog refinement sessions with stakeholders and Product Owners.
- Coach development teams on understanding business value and mission impact.
- Apply Agile estimation techniques and Scrum methodologies.
- Analyze enterprise data relationships and business processes.
- Support the full SDLC including planning, requirements, development, configuration management, QA, and release management.
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to pass CBP background investigation, including:
- 3-year felony check
- 1-year illegal drug use check
- 1-year misconduct check (fraud, theft, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst on iterative or Agile software development projects.
- Availability to work hybrid in Williston, Vermont.
- Experience with database and reporting systems.
- Technical background in SQL, RDBMS, or data technologies

CompensationSalary Range:
$85,800 – $180,200 annually
Final compensation depends on location, contract requirements, experience, skills, certifications, and education.
