Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

Be part of an interdisciplinary team that provides individuals opportunity for recovery management so they can live and work independently in their home and community.

• Complete assessments and service plans.
• Organize, direct, and guide care provided by other team members; monitor and update service recommendations.
• Provide skills training, as well as individual, family, and group therapy.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments in the office, in the community, and on-call.
• Provide education and consult to families, community, interns, and residents.
• Travel to homes and communities to deliver services as needed.

• To be considered for the Clinician position, you are required to have:
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or an area approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners and ND licensure as a LCSW or LPCC; OR
• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and licensure as LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy; OR
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology with eligibility for licensure as LMFT by the ND Board of Marriage and Family Therapy; OR
• Doctorate in Psychology and ND licensure as a psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.

Alternative (if fully licensed candidates are not available): If unable to find fully licensed candidates, consideration may be given to filling this position at a reduced rate as a Behavioral Health Counselor with a master's degree in social work and licensure as LMSW by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners; OR a master's degree in counseling and licensure as LPC by the ND Board of Counselor Examiners.

May also consider those with a master's degree in counseling and licensure as LAPC if the applicant is progressing toward LPCC within two years from date of hire. Information outlining licensure status and training hours must be submitted with the application.

Alternatives (if Masters-level candidates are unavailable): Consideration at a reduced rate for those with licensure as Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners and two years of related professional experience. Also consider Skills Trainer - BMod with a Master’s degree in relevant fields OR a Bachelor’s degree plus two years of related work experience in a professional setting under supervision.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
