Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Certified Pharmacy Tech at CHI Williston Health, now part of Common Spirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you ll help our patients feel better by providing safe and effective medications to them. You ll help our doctors and nurses feel better knowing that you are providing accurate and timely medication to patients.

You ll build trust each day by being extremely thorough and accurate at all times. Patient safety is your top priority, so you do everything you can to ensure all prescriptions are authentic, prepared correctly both in medication type and dosing, and are dispensed appropriately, under the Pharmacist s guidance. You follow all safety protocols, including those intended to prevent infection, and you keep a clean work area at all times.

You are eager to learn or help out in any way needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and get our patients their medications.

• Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department.
• Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels
• Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.

• Graduated HS/GED equivalent, required.
• Six (6) months compounding of IV medication, required.

• North Dakota Pharmacy Tech License, Required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT), Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, Required.
