Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Clinic CNA at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, now part of Common Spirit Health, you’ll assists in the delivery of patient care and performance of established tasks and procedures under the supervision of a physically present and immediately available Registered Nurse/ Hospital Provider. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization.

• Perform/record vital signs, CPR, apply oxygen delivering systems, perform simple wound irrigation/direct pressure/dressings, prepare sterile field for suturing, assist provider with treatment when appropriate, apply restraints, clean medical equipment and prepare for sterilization, collect urine specimens, and phlebotomy
• Assists in making observations, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs
• Assists with patient transports and transfers
• Answer telephones, filing, greet patients/visitors, transcribe provider’s orders, electronic data entry, and assist with documentation
• Assists with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
• Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies

High School Diploma, preferred.

• American Hearth Association Basic Life Support (BLS)-CPR, required within 30 days of start.
• Certified Nurse Assistant;
  North Dakota, required upon hire.
