Overview

Caltest Energy Services Ltd is seeking a Mud Logger to monitor drilling operations, analyze rock cuttings, and provide real-time geological and drilling information to optimize well performance. The Mud Logger plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety on the rig.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor drilling activities and record drilling parameters, including rate of penetration, mud weight, and pressure data.
  • Collect and analyze rock cuttings and drilling mud to identify subsurface formations.
  • Prepare accurate daily drilling and geological reports for rig teams and clients.
  • Maintain mud logging equipment and ensure reliable data collection.
  • Provide real-time updates on gas shows, abnormal pressure zones, and other drilling anomalies.
  • Collaborate closely with geologists, drilling engineers, and rig personnel.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in mud logging or oilfield operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of drilling processes, mud systems, and well logging equipment.
  • Strong analytical, observation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in remote locations under challenging conditions.
  • Proficiency with computer software for data recording and analysis.

  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts on offshore or onshore rigs.
