Description
Teaches elementary school students spiritual, academic, social, relational, and physical skills in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Christian education of Williston Trinity Christian School by performing the following duties personally.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Prepares course objectives and outlines for course of study following the established school Curriculum Guide.
- Integrates Biblical truths and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum.
- Plans a program of study that as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
- Employs a variety of instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
- Assesses the performance of students on a regular basis and provides progress and attendance reports as required.
- Helps identify the giftedness or learning disabilities of students seeking the assistance of the Special Services Coordinator.
- Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains proper discipline and order in the classroom and on the school premises.
- Counsels pupils when behavioral and academic problems arise.
- Keeps students, parents and the administration adequately informed of progress or deficiencies.
- Evaluates and guides improvement of study methods and work habits for each student.
- Other duties as assigned.
