Locum - Physician - Emergency Medicine Williston, ND

Bring your expertise to support a busy ED managing approximately 50-60 patients daily, including trauma and stroke cases, in a setting that values skill, dedication, and teamwork.

Required Skills:

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (EM)
• Valid medical license in North Dakota or eligibility to obtain one
• Proven experience in emergency department procedures and patient management
• Ability to perform common ER procedures proficiently
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Comfort working with Meditech EMR system

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in rural or Critical Access Hospital (CAH) environments
• Familiarity with trauma and stroke protocols
• Prior experience with APP collaboration in fast-paced settings

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• At least 2 years of emergency medicine practice post-residency
• Previous locum or rural hospital experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start within 30 days of credentialing approval
• Ability to work varied 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm & 6pm-6am)
• Eligible for credentialing at CHI St. Alexius Healt in Williston, ND, and willingness to complete required credentialing process
• Must be willing to support continuous 24-hour coverage without gaps
• Support staff includes APPs working 10am-10pm, supplementing physician coverage
• Compensation details will be discussed; hourly pay rate is competitive and commensurate with experience
• Malpractice insurance must be included in rates; orientation will be compensated at half the hourly rate after 8 hours; additional training hours are paid at $360 per 12-hour shift
• Holiday pay is at 1.5x regular rates, with no overtime during holidays
