Pay: $24.00/hr – $30.00/hr (Based on experience)
Travel: Open to regional travel
Job SummaryWagman Heavy Civil, Inc. is seeking a qualified Bridge Carpenter to join our team. The Bridge Carpenter will perform carpentry duties on bridge demolition and reconstruction projects, including building forms, pouring concrete, cutting and measuring lumber, and constructing abutments, overhangs, and other bridge components. The position requires strong carpentry skills, knowledge of form systems, and the ability to work safely on construction sites.
KeyQualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Journeyman Bridge Carpenter.
- Familiar with bridge construction, form systems, hand and power tools, and highway construction scopes.
- Excellent communication skills and strong organizational ability.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work at heights up to 150 feet.
- Construct built-in-place or prefabricated forms for concrete structures such as piers, footers, retaining walls, abutments, parapets, and bridge decks.
- Saw lumber to blueprint dimensions and assemble form panels.
- Lift and handle prefabricated forms and install them.
- Insert spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of form to maintain specified dimensions.
- Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects with nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, and planks.
- Build temporary scaffolds, frame shelters, and safety railings.
- Lift and set rails for finishing machines.
- Pour, vibrate, shovel, and rake concrete in forms and decks.
- Lift up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level during a shift.
- Stand and walk continuously throughout the work shift.
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 150 feet.
- Bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and perform fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
