Coastal Animal Referral Emergency is an independently owned emergency referral hospital that thrives on a good culture, good pay structure and good medicine. Our team is the heart of who we are. Our hospital is the bridge between general practice services, urgent care services and specialty services. We offer advanced medicine, advanced imaging, hyperbaric therapy and hemoperfusion therapy.
Role DescriptionWe are adding 2 full-time on-site Veterinary Technicians to our team, located in Williamsburg, VA. As a part of our already amazing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals, assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures, advanced care of patients during hospitalization and surgical recovery. Day-to-day tasks include in-hospital management of patients, advanced nursing procedures, anesthesia, advanced imaging and working with other technicians.
This role requires effective communication with pet owners and collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure excellent patient care. Experience in veterinary medicine as a licensed technician is required but we love training, teaching and learning new techniques. We would love a positive, friendly, wanting-to-learn and explore-new-ideas applicant! 3-5 years experience in the field is recommended but not required. We can train happy people!

- Strong skills in advanced nursing to ensure the high standard of care for our patients.
- Willingness to learn, share information and grow professionally
- Licensed in Virginia
- Comfortable with Client Education to provide guidance on treatment plans, discharge instructions and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a veterinary team
- Previous experience in a veterinary emergency medicine or equivalent
- Will consider students currently in educational track in approved LVT program
