Registered Nurse Western Tidewater Regional Resource Pool ICU RN- Nights

RN Regional Resource Pool:
Flexible Work Schedule, Self-Scheduling, Premium Pay, and Resource Pool Differential
This is a self-scheduling full-time position for night shift hours, minimum of 144 hours per month required.
Must work at least 48 hours night shift on the weekend. Availability to cover at Sentara Careplex in Hampton and Sentara Obici in Suffolk is non-negotiable.

Sentara Hospital Support Services is hiring an RN to work in our Resource Pool covering four hospitals in Western Tidewater and the Peninsula, (Hampton, Suffolk, Williamsburg, and Norfolk).

Offers Premium Differential Pay, Flexible Self-Scheduling. Only required to provide the availability to work no more than two weeks in advance.

Requires a minimum of 144 scheduled Night shift hours per pay month, of which at least 48 hours must be weekend night shift per month. Requires a minimum of 18 months of critical care RN experience. Requires nurses to work in all units for which they are qualified and a minimum of two different units.

• Coverage at Sentara Careplex in Hampton and Sentara Obici in Suffolk is non-negotiable.
• Must reside within 75 miles and 90 minutes of all four hospitals in the Western Tidewater/Peninsula Resource Pool:
  Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Sentara Careplex in Hampton, Sentara Obici in Suffolk, Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Sentara Norfolk General, Sentara Leigh, Sentara Princess Anne, Sentara Virginia Beach General.

Nursing Resource Pool at Sentara Leigh Hospital (Norfolk, VA)

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.

The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education

• Registered Nurse Diploma (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• Registered Nurse License (Required)
• All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Experience

• Requires minimum of 18 months (most recent experience) as RN in Critical Care setting.
• Available to work Nights Full-time status, a minimum of 144 hours per month
