Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you are a member of an assigned production crew, reporting to the Plant Warehouse Supervisor. Your role supports Ball’s manufacturing success by observing operating principles for all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in your area of responsibility within a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7 environment.

• Follow all 5S standards, job safety practices, and policies, including food safety, personal protective equipment, and emergency procedures.
• Operate forklift and coordinate raw materials, scrap, finished goods, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies.
• Effectively communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and customers.
• Inspect aluminum for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
• Build and maintain positive relationships across the team by collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• 1 year of work experience in an industrial environment.

• 3+ years of forklift operation and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of hazardous waste management.
• Experience using JD Edwards, AS900, or similar warehouse or ERP system.

• Hot/Cold working conditions.
• Loud/noisy environment.
• Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
• Climbing (stairs, catwalks, and other equipment as necessary).

• Hourly Rate: $27.37
• Eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
