Position Summary
This role is responsible for driving and implementing the business plan for its area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety). It requires forecasting staffing and workload, preparing and analyzing business reports, and implementing operational improvements. The role also involves monitoring compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, supporting documentation, and ensuring customer and supplier concerns are resolved.
WhatYou’ll Do
Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements.
Monitor and ensure compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives.
Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using own judgment or consulting others as needed.
Supervise and manage associates and leaders in the area of responsibility, providing direction, monitoring performance, giving feedback, identifying training and development needs, and offering learning opportunities.
Teach, support, and model logistics and company policies and procedures, and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers.
Build high‑performing teams, embrace diversity, create a culture of belonging, and empower talent.
Act with integrity, uphold ethical and compliance standards, and promote Walmart’s regenerative goals and values.
Serve customers and members by putting the customer first, applying the EDLP and EDLC business models, and making data‑driven decisions that balance short‑ and long‑term priorities.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and
- 1 year’s experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion for multiple departments/areas;
- or 1 year’s experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of associates;
- or 3 years’ experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion for multiple departments/areas.
- Required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
- Financial modeling and analysis
- Managing challenging workforce issues
- Modeling/forecasting
- Preparing and executing budgets
- Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability
- Supervising associates
- Walmart Logistics Manager certification
- Bachelor’s degrees in Business, Finance, Logistics, Management, Operations Management

CompensationAnnual salary range: $84,000.00 – $. Additional compensation may include regional pay zone adjustments, performance bonuses, and stock options.
