Job DutiesThe Direct Service Associate III is directly accountable to the LPN, RN I, RN II, and RN MGR I for the provision of direct care to mentally ill patients on an assigned unit, in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the Eastern State Hospital Department of Nursing and the Hospital’s mission, goals, and objectives.
This position is assigned to the Evening Shift. The schedule consists of a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts per week, including rotational weekends and holidays. The assigned shifts are two (2) 8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM and two (2) 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Shift assignments may vary within the selected shift option based on operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications- Valid driver’s license or must be able to obtain within 60 days of employment.
- Experience working directly with individuals with challenging mental health and behavior issues in a public, residential, or psychiatric hospital is preferred.
