Job DutiesProvides quality comprehensive nutritional care to patients by maintaining appropriate and accurate nutritional documentation in accordance with CMS, OBRA, TJC, state and hospital policies. Maintains a liaison with medical and nursing personnel to enhance the effectiveness of the nutritional treatment of patients. Monitors quality of care through ongoing quality improvement.
Minimum QualificationsDietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) as established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or must be within six (6) months from date of hire. Please refer to the education requirements for DTR exam below.
- DTR exam eligibility requirements include an Associate Degree and completion ACEND Accredited Dietetic Technician Program (with 450 supervised practice hours) or Bachelor's Degree and completion of ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.
Experience working in a mental health institution or nursing home is preferred.
