Overview
DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for an outpatient dialysis center. Responsibilities- Direct patient care: spend the majority of your day in direct one-to-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
- Care for multiple patients in a team setting under supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Technician duties: monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, including measuring and recording vital stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Exposure to blood and needles is possible.
- Build long-term relationships with patients and educate them on kidney dialysis-related topics.
- Work with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership.
- Potential to float to various clinics during and after training.
- You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Paid training.
- Desire to enter the health care field to care for others in need.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working around blood and needles; able to work around acid or bicarbonate.
- Physical and mental ability to work long hours (including 12+ hour shifts) on your feet; wear comfortable shoes. Work ends when it is safe for patients.
- Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
- Health care experience is a plus, including: BONENT, CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy certification.
