Middle School Theology Teacher​/Religion Coordinator at Walsingham Academy; Williamsburg

Overview

Walsingham Academy, located in Williamsburg, VA, seeks a Middle School Theology Teacher/Religion Coordinator for the  academic year.

• As Middle School Theology teacher, creates and implements lesson plans based on the Diocese of Richmond curriculum covering Sacred Scripture, Church History, Morality, the Sacraments, and Christian Life, with the aim of helping students grow both intellectually and spiritually in the Christian faith.
• As Religion Coordinator, maintains contact with the Diocese regarding the implementation of the Theology curriculum, coordinates teacher certification and development for the Religion/Theology teachers of the Lower and Upper School, and supports the spiritual life of the school.
• Assist in preparing and setting up for Masses, prayer services, and other religious events in the life of the school.
• Aid in training students to act as altar servers and lectors for school Masses.
• Develop retreat opportunities for students at a variety of grade levels.

• Must be a practicing Catholic.
• Valid teaching license preferred; prior private school teaching experience is preferred.
