Operations / Safety / Training Manager – St. Petersburg, FL (Martz FL)

Martz is hiring a strong, hands-on leader to serve as our Operations / Safety / Training Manager at our St. Petersburg, FL location.

At Martz, safety and service go hand-in-hand. This leader sets the tone for both—supporting drivers, solving problems in real time, and ensuring every trip reflects Martz’s commitment to next-level customer service.

• Lead daily dispatch/operations: driver boards, trip fulfillment, call-outs, bus/driver changes
• Coordinate with maintenance: daily board, ADA lift needs, overnight trip planning
• Support operational readiness: cleaner priorities, payroll worksheet/time verification
• Publish safety deliverables: weekly driver scorecards + safety reports
• Lead training/compliance: new hire safety onboarding, drug testing, randoms, physical expirations
• Track compliance training: LMS + Know Be4
• Conduct inspections: monthly facility + fire extinguisher inspections
• Proven leadership experience in operations, dispatch, logistics, safety, or similar
• Strong coaching/accountability skills and ability to lead frontline teams
• Calm under pressure; able to prioritize quickly
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Flexible availability (including early mornings, evenings, weekends as needed)

• Transportation operations experience (motor coach/transit/logistics)
• Experience with Samsara or similar telematics/safety systems
• DOT/FMCSA or regulated environment experience
