Highway Bridge Maintenance Foreman

This is a seasonal position with an expected start date in mid‑April.

The role oversees daily operations of the Highway and Bridge Maintenance Department. It requires experience in personnel management, highway and bridge construction and maintenance, job safety, mechanical skills, record keeping, and effective communication. The incumbent assists with budget development and performs other tasks as directed by the Branch Manager.

• Managing the maintenance and protection of temporary traffic control.
• Operating highway maintenance equipment including bridge inspection units, bucket trucks, pressure washers, street sweepers, and related machinery.
• Meeting daily production targets; handling customer communications and scheduling work.
• Leading daily safety meetings.
• Supervising a team of 4‑6 individuals.
• Coordinating with on‑site inspectors.
  
  Ensuring the safe use of all equipment.
• Performing additional duties as needed.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with 5 years of clean driving history.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug and background check.
• Ability to travel away from home for 1‑2 weeks at a time to locations in DE, NJ, NY, PA, and VA (hotel and travel expenses are covered by the company).
• At least 1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Previous experience in highway maintenance or the construction industry is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods.
• A Class CDL A or B license is preferred.

Compensation range: $24‑27 hourly depending on experience.
