Overview

Freight/Receiving role at The Home Depot. Position purpose:
Associates in Freight/Receiving ensure the store is stocked and ready for business every day. They load and unload trucks, move material from the receiving area throughout the store, may operate forklifts, and may perform critical functions for maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for customers. Direct customer interaction is frequently required for some positions and excellent customer service skills are required.

The Freight/Receiving roles may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.

Location:

Wilkes-Barre, PA. Compensation varies by role and shift.

• Load and unload trucks and move material from receiving to appropriate areas in the store.
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product pricing accuracy.
• Operate or assist with forklift operations where applicable and safe.
• Provide direct customer service as required by the role.
• Support receiving processes to ensure on-hand inventory accuracy.

• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a retail environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
• Basic ability to follow safety procedures and operate equipment as needed.
