Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Wilkes-Barre, PA

Job Summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center is actively seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic critical care team. This is an exciting opportunity to practice advanced, state‑of‑the‑art medicine in a collaborative environment supported by experienced physicians and a dedicated nursing staff.

• 14 shifts/month with a mix of day and night (nocturnal stipend offered) 12‑hour shifts (7 am‑7 pm or 7 pm‑7 am)
• Work alongside critical care physicians in a collaborative, team‑based model
• Provide comprehensive care: assessment, planning, education, treatment, and follow‑up
• Learn and perform procedures:
  Central Lines, Temporary dialysis catheters, Arterial lines with the opportunity to learn others
• Opportunity to participate in patient‑centered research and a variety of improvement initiatives
• Serve as a patient advocate, liaison, and trusted advisor for patients and families
• Moonlighting opportunities available for additional income

Education:

Master's Degree – Nurse Practitioner (Required), Master's Degree – Physician Assistant (Required)

Certified Physician Assistant – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA);
Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body
