Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineer
We are supporting a confidential search for a Production Manager / Senior Production Supervisor to lead a newly commissioned polymer film manufacturing line for a well-capitalized, privately held manufacturer in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
- PETg, PMMA (Acrylic), and Polycarbonate films
The line has been installed, qualified, and is entering its next phase of optimization, scale-up, and vertical integration. The right individual will play a key role in shaping standards, processes, and people as the operation expands.

Role Scope & Technical Focus
This role sits at the intersection of hands-on production leadership and technical process control
, with direct responsibility for day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of a high-performance polymer film line.
Overseeing and optimizing
- Leading production operations for a polymer film extrusion and converting line
- Managing line startups, shutdowns, and changeovers with a focus on yield, quality, and safety
- Gauge control and thickness uniformity
- Roll formation, winding, and edge quality
- Optical clarity, surface finish, and adhesion characteristics
- Interpreting product specifications and translating them into machine settings and process parameters
- Partnering with quality and engineering resources to troubleshoot deviations and process drift
- Driving improvements in uptime, scrap reduction, run speed, and overall equipment effectiveness
- Coaching, developing, and holding operators accountable to high standards
- Establishing repeatable processes as the operation scales
This role is visible, impactful, and central to the success of the operation.
