Front Desk ClerkPosition starts at $13.00/HR
Job Duties- Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, regardless of time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain complete knowledge of: hotel features/services, hours of operation, room rates, special packages, daily house count, expected arrivals/departures, scheduled daily group activities.
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies; keep bank secure at all times.
- Answer department telephone, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Process all guest check-ins, verify registration card information, obtain back-up information for credit/payment method and input into system; collect cash when designated.
- Direct Bell Person to escort guest and transport luggage to room.
- Handle overbooked or "walked" guests.
- Accept and record wake-up call requests.
- Monitor, send and distribute guest faxes.
- Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments (special requests, amenity delivery).
- Resolve discrepancies on room status report with Housekeeping.
- Match bucket check to in-house guest ledger report; report discrepancies to supervisor/manager.
- Process all check-outs; process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, miscellaneous charges.
- Process Players Club applications and issue Players Cards to interested guests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Promote superior guest service.
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to compute basic arithmetic.
- Provide excellent guest service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
- Some college or training in hospitality industry.
- Previous experience as Front Desk Clerk.
- Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, holidays and flexible hours.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing.
