Join us as a Registered Nurse at Allied Services in Wilkes-Barre, working evenings full-time in the Transitional Rehab Unit.
Position Overview: Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the RN coordinates patient care, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes optimism, encouragement, and achievement of goals. The RN must be knowledgeable in providing age-appropriate care for adult to geriatric patients, assessing patient data, and interpreting information to meet individual needs, adhering to departmental policies.
Supervision and Reporting: Acts as Team Leader, supervising LPNs, CNAs/NAs, and Unit Secretaries.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- At least 2 years of experience in long-term care preferred
- Current RN license issued by Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- CPR certification (must be maintained)
- Clear background check by PA State Police
- Ability to provide individualized, culturally sensitive care
Physical Demands: Medium work involving lifting 10-50 lbs., bending, reaching, and transporting self throughout the facility.
Hazards and Conditions: Occasional exposure to blood, body substances, and needle sticks. Works in well-lit, ventilated areas including patient rooms and treatment areas.
Additional Details: Entry level, full-time position in healthcare, hospital, and mental health sectors. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
