Job Summary

Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echo cardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.

Job Duties
  • Performs and processes echo cardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
  • Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
  • Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
  • Analyzes and files echo cardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echo cardiographic techniques.
  • Assists in approved research activities.
  • Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
  • Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.

* Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and formal training. (Graduation from an accredited training program in cardiac ultrasound = 2 years).

Position Details

Hiring Incentive: This position qualifies for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus paid over two years. Certain stipulations do apply.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)

Experience

Minimum of 2 years-Relevant experience* (Required)

Certification(s) and License(s)

Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body;
Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification required within 6 months of hire - Default Issuing Body;
Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
