Project Director; T&D

We are seeking a Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects across the Southern United States. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience overseeing high-voltage substation, transmission, renewable integration, and grid-modernization programs from development through commissioning.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving project performance, safety, and client satisfaction across a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary energy infrastructure projects.

• Provide strategic leadership across multiple high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) transmission and substation projects (69kV – 500kV).
• Oversee all phases of project delivery —
  planning, estimating, engineering coordination, procurement, construction, testing, and close-out
  .
• Manage project financials including budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and earned value reporting for multimillion-dollar programs.
• Direct project management teams, ensuring alignment with client goals, regulatory requirements, and company safety standards.
• Lead contract negotiations, change order management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with utilities, developers, and EPC partners to integrate renewable generation, BESS, and grid-modernization initiatives.
• Develop long-term client relationships and support business development through technical input on proposals and RFPs.
• Drive a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all project teams and subcontractors.

• 15+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or EPC delivery within the Transmission & Distribution or Power Infrastructure sector.
• Proven record of delivering large HV substation and transmission line projects (69kV–500kV).
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets exceeding $50M+.
• Deep understanding of utility standards, NESC/IEEE codes, and safety regulations
  .
• Demonstrated leadership managing multidisciplinary teams across multiple active projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• PMP Certification and OSHA 30 preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
  , and project financial tools.
