Field/Service Technician, Systems Engineer
The client is seeking a Field Service Technician with at least four years of active duty experience in the US military, with a preference for backgrounds in aircraft, shipboard power, radar, avionics, or ground support equipment.
This role, located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, involves high travel, with the technician expected to spend 50% of their time traveling both domestically and internationally.
The primary responsibility is to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain power conversion units that connect shore power to ships, particularly large yachts valued at over 100 million dollars.
This is a critical, customer-facing role suited for individuals who excel in dynamic environments and report to the Global Customer Service Manager.
The technician will respond to customer service requests via phone, email, and onsite visits.
They will travel extensively to troubleshoot, start up, and repair systems.
Strong adaptability is required for this role due to the 50% travel commitment, both in the United States and abroad.

Candidates must have at least four years of active duty in the US military and at least two years of experience with three-phase power systems.
An associate degree in electronics or equivalent military electronics/engineering training is required.
