Primary Teacher QTS – Wigton

Humly is recruiting a Primary Teacher QTS to join a primary school on a temporary basis.

This is a full-time role starting 13/04/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This position would suit an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking to support Year 6 pupils through the summer term as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum for Year 6 pupils

* Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs

* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

* Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and pupil development

* Provide pastoral care and guidance to ensure pupil wellbeing

* Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

What You’ll Bring

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching upper primary, ideally Year 6

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Ability to create an inclusive classroom where all pupils can thrive

* Passion for supporting children’s learning, development, and transition to secondary school

* Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with colleagues

Pay
Non-AWR: from £120 per day
